During the induction event carried out by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Wednesday restated that Shiv Sena and BJP will contest the upcoming state assembly elections together.

Earlier in 2014, the ruling parties formed post-alliance after the assembly elections. However, with CM Fadnavis clarifying the situation, Shiv Sena and BJP intend to contest 2019 assembly polls together.

While addressing the gathering, CM Fadnavis asserted that BJP, Shiv Sena and other allied parties will break the record of winning maximum seats in Maharashtra assembly polls.

There are some speculations which suggest that BJP will contest the state assembly elections solo. We will contest with Shiv Sena. Our alliance with Shiv Sena and other allies is final. We will come back to power with a huge mandate,” Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
