On the eve of International Women’s Day, the Shiv Sena had organised a special programme for women titled ‘Shabbas Vahini’. This was organised by the Sena’s MLA Ravindra Waikar at Jogeshwari’s Shivai ground.
Over 2,500 women participated in the competition. Winners of the semifinal rounds were given gifts. Along with this, a free health checkup camp was also set up which benefited over 1.5 lakh women, the organisers claim. The last round of this competition will take place on 8 March, on International Women’s Day.
