After Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray took a stand against the proposed Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project, the Shiv Sena has decided to stand against the same. The bullet train project is expected to cost around ₹1,10,000 crores.

An anti-bullet train delegation on Friday met Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray at his residence. Shiv Sena chief strongly opposed the bullet train project publically showing support to the delegation, Ramakant Patil informed. As this happened, the question arises that with the strong opposition of Thackeray brothers, what will happen to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ambitious project?

The bullet train project is largely going to affect the farmers as the government plans to acquire land for this project. However, the farmers have refused to give their land for the same. While appealing to the farmers - earlier - to not give their lands, MNS chief has said that Maharashtra doesn’t need a bullet train.  As of now, not only political parties but farmers have also become aggressive against this project.

Farmers have already decided to not give their lands for the bullet train project under any circumstances and they have started raising their voice together against the same. The delegation has organised a meeting on June 3 in Palghar to further protest against the bullet train and they met Uddhav Thackeray to invite him to the meeting.
