Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray criticised Maharashtra Navnirman Sena’s president Raj Thackeray and National Congress Party’s chief Sharad Pawar questioning about the humanity when Bal Thackeray was being arrested for 1993 riots.

I did not see the interview. It will take another 50 years to understand Bal Thackeray's persona and there are many who did not understand him at all,” Uddhav Thackeray was hinting towards Pawar during a press conference.

The interview clarified that Bal Thackeray’s decisions were never wrong, retorted Thackeray. He further said, that if Pawar would have listened to Bal Thackeray’s decisions, then there would not have been communal riots.

He further remarked that Bal Thackeray always believed that reservation should be based on economic status but it did not go well with many.

For 50 years, he spoke on the same but no one supported him then. He was known for his straightforwardness and he never criticised behind anyone's back,” Uddhav Thackeray said.

Shiv Sena is still a strong party

In connection to 1993 riots, in 2000, political parties tried sending Bal Thackeray behind the bars and no one showed humanity. In fact, everyone wanted to see him in jail, said Thackeary. Many tried to dissect Mumbai city in Pawar’s era but it was not possible because Shiv Sena was standing tall and will remain the same, remarked Thackeray.
