Reports state that the party will contest on 15 seats in Goa and the preparations are being planned for the same seats in Uttar Pradesh. The party will soon reveal the list of chief campaigners for both the states.

Earlier, Shiv Sena had participated in the civic elections in Uttar Pradesh, however, the candidates did not perform well in many localities. However, this time, Shiv Sena has planned to establish itself as a national level party by taking itself out of Maharashtra and this is the reason that for the last few years Shiv Sena has started fielding its candidates in the elections held outside the state as well.

A report published in the India Today mentioned that Shiv Sena, in September 2021, announced that the party had planned to contest all 403 seats in Uttar Pradesh. The decision was taken at Shiv Sena's regional executive meeting held in Lucknow. Sharing more information back then, Shiv Sena chief in Uttar Pradesh, Thakur Singh, informed that the government in UP was not treating Brahmins in an appropriate manner. On the other hand, inflation and unemployment was increasing significantly. Observing the same,  Shiv Sena planned to contest across all constituencies of Uttar Pradesh with an aim to listen to the public and address their queries/concerns.
