Mumbai – The BJP and Shiv Sena fought the BMC elections separately this time but the leaders of these parties used to work together earlier. Fighting separately has now become troublesome for the elected representatives of these parties. Shiv Sena corporator has expressed strong resentment on the developmental works being carried out by MHADA from the MP fund. She has demanded action against the MHADA officials in this regard.
Sena corporator from Kurla, Dr Anuradha Pednekar, carried out many developmental works in her ward no. 168 but the assistant municipal commissioner did not implement those works properly. On the other hand, MHADA undertook many developmental works in Mithi river and CRZ areas from MP fund. Even after complaining about this, no action was taken by the BMC administration. Pednekar has demanded that she should be provided the report of works being carried out by the MHADA.
Pednekar has expressed anger over the works of MHADA as it carried out the development works from the funds of BJP MP Poonam Mahajan.
Leader of opposition in the BMC, Pravin Chheda, also supported the demand of Pednekar saying that inquiry should be conducted if corporator’s rights are not protected.
