Central Railway has decided to run two special trains for farmers who walked for six-days and reached Mumbai bare feet. The CR took the decision considering the problems farmers went through in the long march.

18 general coach: CSTM to Bhusawal: 10:00 pm

Along with this, an extra coach will be added to Panchvati Express which will leave around 6:15 am. The same will be done to Howrah Express which will leave CSTM around 9:30 am and Dadar-Shirdi Express which will depart from Dadar at 09:45 pm.

For more than four days, nearly 30,000 farmers walked 180 km and landed in Thane, on Saturday evening. The farmers, led by Left-affiliated All India Kisan Sabha (AIKS), were demanding a complete loan waiver, remunerative prices for agricultural produce and implementation of Swaminathan Commission recommendations among others.

The meeting between farmers' delegation and CM was successful as the farmer protestors decided to call off their protest.

NCP MLC Hemant Takle and MLC Jaywant Jadhav had demanded to the state that they should run special trains for farmers to return to their villages.
