State to change fiscal year to Jan-Dec?

Mumbai- The state government is mulling changing the fiscal year from April-March to January-December. State financial additional chief secretary D K Jain, general secretary V Giriraj and a secretary Mita Lochan studied the fiscal patterns of 29 countries and 50 international companies and subsequently submitted the proposal to finance minister Sudhir Mungantiwar. The proposal suggests changing the fiscal year for better administrative ease.
