Shiv Sena's Sanjay Raut has been one of the key negotiations in the deal that the party cracked with NCP and INC to form Maha Vikas Aghadi led-government in Maharashtra. After much delay, the government expanded their cabinet on Monday. Soon after the list of Ministers was out, people started questioning the absence of Sanjay Raut from the ceremony. There were also speculations that his elder brother Sunil Raut was "unhappy" over being denied a ministerial berth in Maha Vikas Aghadi government. What's more, there were also rumours that Sunil Raut is planning to quit.

Sunil Raut has issued a statement putting all the rumours and speculations to rest. It reads, "These are all fake and misleading news being spread. Before a legislator, I am a disciplined soldier of the Shiv Sena. There is no better news than the government led by Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray as CM taking power in the state."

Even the party officials dismissed all the speculations in regards to both the Raut brothers. They have said that Senior Raut may have other commitment because of which he may not have been able to attend the cabinet expansion ceremony. There was another opinion that the party leadership may have something else in mind for Sunil Raut. A party official has been quoted anonymously to IANS, "On the contrary, the party leadership may have planned something else for him... So where's the question of any dissatisfaction as claimed by some people".

Thackeray himself rejected reports of Raut brothers being unhappy or for that matter any displeasure from several quarters including Sena, saying he has not heard any such thing, after conducting the first full-fledged cabinet meeting this evening.
