Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) has claimed that some miscreants threw paint on the statue of Meenatai Thackeray (wife of Shiv Sena chief late Balasaheb Thackeray) located near Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Maidan in Dadar, Mumbai. After this incident, Shiv Sainiks had gathered in the Shivaji Park area. Due to this, tension had arisen in the area. A police team has reached the spot to prevent any law and order issue.

As soon as the information about the incident was received, local MLA Mahesh Sawant and MP Anil Desai reached the spot. Desai spoke to the media at this time. He said, “Some miscreants have thrown paint on the statue. Perhaps these cowards have not been disciplined. The police are searching for them. What is the police system doing after seeing such incidents? What is the government doing? These are the questions that arise. These incidents are beyond condemnation. The government seems to be failing to maintain law and order.

We will give a befitting reply to those cowards
Anil Desai MP Anil Desai said, “We have informed Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray about this incident. We are handling this incident in our own way. Such anti-social elements and cowards will be given a befitting reply. The police are searching for them. We are checking the footage from CCTV cameras around the statue. Seeing such incidents, one feels again and again that Mumbai is not safe. What are the police doing while these incidents are happening? The government is busy with its own misdeeds".
