Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray will soon have a dream house. Currently, Thackeray stays with his family in famous Matoshree, Kalanagar located in Bandra (East). The new house is located right across the Matoshree. The dream house is a six-storey structure with two triplex apartments.
The entire structure is spread over 10,000 sq ft. Every flat has five bedrooms and one study room. The building is being designed by eminent architecture firm Talaty and Panthaky.
Artist Kattinegri Krishna Hebbar was the proud owner of the land parcel. After Hebbar’s death, his wife Susheela was the owner of the house. In 2007, Hebbar sold the stakes in 3.5 crores to Platinum Infrastructure Pvt Ltd.
Thackeray's took over the property in 11.6 crores. At the time of the deal, Thackerays paid Rs 5.8 crore to Platinum and remaining amount will be paid to collector’s office. Stamp duty of Rs 58 lakh was paid to the Registrar of Stamps at the time of registration.
Very soon Thackeray's will be living in their dream abode.
