Union Minister Narayan Rane has accused Shiv Sena (UTB) supremo Uddhav Thackeray of "illegalities" at his two bungalows in Bandra (East). Rane also stated that the BMC will soon take action against the "illegalities" at Thackeray's bungalows. However, Rane clarified that he would not file a lawsuit, but the "dutiful" civic officials would look into the matter.

The accusations from Rane came a day after Thackeray called Devendra Fadnavis a "useless" home minister. Sachin Ahir, a member of the Thackeray faction, rejected the accusations against the bungalows as unfounded. Anil Parab, another member of the Thackeray faction, agreed with Ahir's assessment.

Rane also accused Thackeray of instructing BMC to take action against his Juhu bungalow when he was the CM. Rane claimed that Thackeray had called Varsha, the CM's official residence, every day to pressure the BMC commissioner to demolish Rane's bungalow. Rane has submitted his case to court regarding the Juhu bungalow.

Moreover, Rane warned Thackeray of consequences for his criticism of BJP leaders. Rane claimed that Thackeray had paid a price for his actions against the Juhu bungalow by losing his position as chief minister. If Thackeray continued to criticise BJP leaders, he would pay a heavy price, according to Rane.

Ahir criticised Rane for threatening to take action against Saamana, the spokesperson for the Thackeray party. The Bombay High Court had directed the BMC to remove illegal parts of Rane's Adhish bungalow in Juhu last year.
