Nagpur – Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray paid a courtesy visit to the RSS headquarters at Nagpur and met RSS Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat on Sunday. Many important issues were discussed in this 45-minutes long meeting between these leaders. The meeting between Thackeray and Bhagwat is considered as important on the backdrop of government’s decision of demonetization and forthcoming municipal elections in Mumbai. The Shiv Sena stand on these issues is likely to become soft. Uddhav Thackeray and his son Aditya Thackeray were in the city to attend the marriage ceremony of Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari’s daughter. The RSS has always shown proximity to the Shiv Sena. However the bitter relation between Sena and BJP came to fore. Bhagwat had personally met Thackeray family after the death of Balasaheb Thackeray. The RSS was insisting for the inclusion of Sena in the formation of State government and Bhagwat had taken efforts to convince Uddhav Thackeray to join the State government. Now, Bhagwat is said to be positive on the alliance of BJP with Sena for BMC elections.
