Mumbai - The Congress has dismissed chief minister Devendra Fadnavis' intervention in the 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' controversy as banal. Maharashtra Congress Committee general secretary Sachin Sawant has fired some salvos at the CM.
1. If the donation to the Army welfare fund was voluntary and filmmaker Karan Johar and MNS chief Raj Thackeray are well acquainted with each other for over seven years, then why did the CM need to intervene in the matter?
2. What were the demands made by Raj Thackeray that the film producers could not fulfill on their own?
Sawant also said that the Congress would demand the CM's resignation during the upcoming winter session of the state legislative assembly.
