Shiv Sena (Thackeray faction) has filed a case against one lawyer Nilima Chavan in connection with the suicide of former corporator Sudhir More. Nilima Chavan had approached the Mumbai Sessions Court for pre-arrest bail. But, Nilima Chavan's pre-arrest bail has been rejected by the court.

The police claimed in the court that Nilima Chavan had caused mental trouble to Sudhir More. The court then rejected Nilima Chavan's bail.

Ratnagiri District Communications Chief Sudhir Sayaji More committed suicide by jumping in front of the train between Ghatkopar and Vidyavihar on Thursday (August 31). In this case, Sudhir More's son had filed a case with the railway police alleging that Nilima Chavan had tortured his father.

"Nilima Chavan had threatened More that she will end her life if he does not keep a relationship with her. She was blackmailing More when the latter stopped talking to her. She called More 56 times before he committed suicide. Along with this, messages, audio and video calls were made on WhatsApp. More had requested Chavan to stop the harassment. But, no mercy was shown by Chavan," said public prosecutor Iqbal Solkar on behalf of the police. Hindustan Times has reported about this.
