Woman dies after a speeding BMW drags her for 100 meters in Worli

While the Porsche car accident in Pune's Kalyaninagar area is being talked about across the country, now a hit and run incident has taken place in Mumbai's Worli. A BMW vehicle rammed into a couple riding a two-wheeler and carried them away. It is said that the woman on the bike died on the spot in this horrific accident.


According to the police, the accident took place at 5.30 am on Sunday. In the said accident case, the owner of the BMW vehicle, Rajesh Shah, is said to be an office bearer of the Shinde group. The website Times Now reported that the police have detained him for questioning.


The victim's family and eyewitnesses have claimed that Rajesh Shah's son Mihir Shah was driving the vehicle at the time of the accident. But the police are investigating this claim.

The woman was dragged up to 100 meters

An accident has taken place near Atria Mall in Worli. The said couple lives in Worli Koliwada near the mall and they went to Sassoon Dock in the morning to buy fish. While returning home with fish, his bike was hit by a BMW coming from behind. The husband who was driving the bike lost control of the bike due to the fish on the bike. So both hit the bonnet of the vehicle. The husband jumped from the bonnet to the side. But the woman could not come aside in time. As the driver of the BMW fled the vehicle, the woman also was carried with the vehicle for 100 meters.


Driver in police custody 

After the accident, the couple was admitted to Nair Hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, the woman died. Her husband is undergoing treatment. The police have seized the BMW vehicle and the driver fled after the accident. He too has now been detained. The accident is being thoroughly investigated at Worli Police Station and senior police officers have also reached Worli.


Worli Legislative Assembly MLA Aaditya Thackeray met the police of Worli Police Station and inquired about the action taken against the office bearer of the Shinde group in this case. He also met the victim Nakhawa family and promised to get them justice.
