BJP MLA Nitesh Rane's recent allegations have stirred conversation in the political circle and responding to the same, Varun Sardesai, General Secretary of Yuva Sena, has warned Rane stating that he would file a defamation case against the baseless allegations.

Furthemore, Varun also held a press conference to respond to the allegations, and was accompanied by Shiv Sena leader and Transport Minister Anil Parab. Addressing the media, Varun said that Nitesh Rane has made very dirty allegations which are baseless. He stated that if Nitesh Rane fails to prove these allegations, he  will file a defamation suit against him.

"I come from a cultured and highly educated family and I work for Yuvasena, Shiv Sena only because I love politics. I haven't done any dirty work. On the other hand, everyone knows the background of the Rane family who accused me. Former Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has raised the issue in the Assembly and he is also on record. The entire Rane family has become accustomed to making baseless allegations against anyone. He made similar allegations against BJP leaders while he was in the Congress and now that he has joined the BJP, he is making similar allegations against various leaders of the Maha Vikas Aghadi. For the past few days, they have been personally accusing me. In fact, the people of Maharashtra do not take the Rane family very seriously. So I also ignored it at first," Varun said.

Meanwhile, Rane claimed that Varun, who is not in any constitutional post, has been given Y-plus security by the Thackeray government, and also attends government meetings. They call the authorities directly.
