Lanky Kenisha Gupta (Girls under-15), Armaan Sikka ( boys under-13) and their club Otters grabbed major honours by figuring in six of the seven new meet records set on the opening day of the two-day 32nd Otters Open Swimming and Diving Championships, held at their swimming pool at Bandra (West) here today.

In fact, both Kenisha and Armaan ended the day with three golds each – two of which were record-breaking efforts.

Both won their respective men’s 100m breaststroke and 100m freestyle events. The only record that eluded the hosts was the 100m butterfly girls under-13 event, which was claimed by Khar Gymkhana’s Sanjita Saha, whose timing of 1:08.05 secs’ bettered Kenisha’s last year’s timing of 1:08.85 secs.
