Kanakia Monsoon Marathon Challenge 2018 to happen on July 22

Former Indian Cricketer, Zaheer Khan along with his wife Sagarika Ghatge will be present at the start point to flag off the races and cheer them on. The start & end point of the run will be Jio Garden, G Block, Bandra Kurla Complex on Sunday, July 22, 2018.

The seventh edition of Kanakia Monsoon Marathon Challenge (KMMC) 2018 organised by the Kanakia Group will witness over 3,500 runners participating in three race categories – 5km, 10km and Half Marathon 21km whereas the half marathon will commence at 6:00 am followed by 10km & 5km together at 6.15am on July 22.

An initiative by RunIndiaRun, KMMC 2018 will witness 500 participating in the half marathon, 2500 in the 10km category and 500 running in the 5km race. 55 kids between the ages of 10 to 17 yrs will be competing with each other.

The race will witness some inspirational runners like Benn Jessudason who was diagnosed with severe Ankylosing Spondylitis, will be running 10km and Munjal Kapadia who has given 70% of his liver to save his father, will be running 10km. The youngest male runner is 10 years old and will be participating in the 5km run, while the oldest male runner is 76 years old and is going to run 10 km, whereas the oldest female runner is 70 years old and the youngest female runner is 11 years and both are going to run 5km respectively.

This year 45 corporate leaders along with Managing Director of Kanakia Group, Mr. Himanshu B Kanakia will be participating in KMMC 2018. The corporates will be seen running in three different categories.
