Maharashtra paddlers Jennifer Varghese and Pritha Vartikar emerged as the heroes in the UTT Cadet and Sub-Junior National Championship 2019, cornering Gold medal in their respective categories here on Friday.

While Pritha and Jennifer claimed the national title in Sub-Junior Girls and Cadet Girls event respectively, Taneesha Kotecha and Havish Asrani also excelled and managed to clinch a bronze medal in the Sub-Junior Girls’ and Boys’ category. Pritha and Taneesha combined together to win the silver medal in the Sub-Junior Girls’ Doubles event as well.

Pritha who won the title in Gujarat last week, was at her imperious best once again as she registered a dominating 4-2 (11-8, 9-11,11-6,11-9,6-11, 11-6) victory over Delhi’s Lakshita Narang to run away with the Sub-Junior Girls title.
