Amateur Riders' Club (ARC), a prestigious horse riding club, commences their monsoon games located at the Mahalaxmi Racecourse, the club will be hosting various unique games on horseback every Sunday morning until October.

This is with a view to enhancing the performance of riders and horses preparing them for their physical and mental fitness for the upcoming tournaments.

The aim is to increase competitiveness and enhance skills. This is usually done to have old riders work with new horses and vice versa as the core of equestrian sports is the partnership between the rider and the horse. It also creates team spirit, riders learn to face challenges, their control on the horse increases, they accept defeat in a positive way and learn to gracefully accept victory without letting it to their head.

Equestrian Chairman of ARC, Prakash Mehta says, "We are expecting an increased number of participants with every passing weekend. Given the pandemic and lockdown, people are keen to step out, get their exercise and enhance their physical and mental health."

Various games are being played at the club from Chor police to dog and the bone and musical chairs, amongst others, are played every weekend to break from the regular practice routines. All this is done while having fun getting back in the saddle.

The Club has witnessed known Polo players like Sunny Patel and Vishwaroop Bajaj along with National showjumping champion Shrenik Gada participate in these games too.
