JBL has just announced studio-grade desktop reference monitors for high-quality audio streaming over Bluetooth. Known as the 104-BT and the 104-BTW (White), this speaker comes with Bluetooth 5.0 out of the box and has plenty of features to make it stand out in the market.

In addition to Bluetooth, this desktop reference monitor also comes with front-facing ports for Aux, RCA, or TRS. Given this aspect, this desktop monitor can be used with computers, laptops or even mobile devices. The design allows the speaker to be placed almost anywhere, including smaller tables.

Users will find a wide range of controls available on the front panel of this desktop reference monitor including volume controls, as well as an Input Select toggle that allows users to switch between different modes of connectivity.

JBL mentions that the speaker uses a 60-watt amplifier which is distributed at 30 watts per speaker. Additionally, the 104-BT is reportedly optimized for desktop use and can perform well even without a dedicated EQ or equalizer.

“We are excited to bring studio-quality audio to budding artists and established professionals in the comfort and safety of their homes. Music production has evolved beyond the recording studio, and today’s creative professionals and music lovers need reference monitors that deliver neutral, accurate sound to create mixes that translate well in a variety of listening environments,” said Aditya Todi, Senior Director, Professional Solutions, India and SAARC, HARMAN.
