Reliance Jio Infocomm has announced a new freebie for subscribers this new year with free off-net domestic voice calls from January 1, 2021.

As per the directions of Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), the Bill & Keep method is being adopted from January 1 onwards which will put an end to interconnect usage charges or IUCs for all domestic voice calls.

It’s worth pointing out that on-net domestic voice calls have always remained free on the Jio network. However, the company has previously said that it will honour its commitment to bring off-net domestic voice call charges to zero when the IUC charges are removed.
