Marriage is on the cards for actor-comedian Kapil Sharma!

A day after Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone’s wedding announcement, Kapil confirmed that he will be tying the knot with his longtime girlfriend Ginni Chatrath on December 12, 2018, in Jalandhar. The couple will also host a reception party in Mumbai on December 14.

Confirming the wedding news Kapil quoted to IANS, "We wanted to keep it a low key. But Ginni is the only daughter in her family. Her folks wanted the wedding to be on a lavish scale. And I completely understand their sentiments. My mother also wants the wedding to be lavish.”

The comedian also mentioned that their wedding date was fixed long back. "For the past few weeks, I've been promoting my Punjabi film 'Son Of Manjeet Singh'. I didn't want to talk about the wedding during the promotions, although the media repeatedly kept asking,” averred Kapil.

Kapil had announced his engagement with Ginni last year in March on Twitter. He introduced Ginni to his fandom by writing, “Will not say she is my better half .. she completes me .. love u Ginni .. please welcome her .. I love her so much:).”


Kapil Sharma was involved in a turmoil of controversies in the recent past due to which his show Family Time With Kapil Sharma went off-air. According to reports the comedian also went to a rehabilitation centre for recovering from his hard and depression phase. Lately, the comedy king is back to the tinsel with a home production movie titled 'Son Of Manjeet Singh', also the stand-up comedian revealed onto Twitter that he will soon be back with his Sony TV's show.
