One of the most-watched TV channels, Star Plus will soon launch a new show titled 'Anupamaa' which will star renowned actors Rupali Ganguly and Sudhanshu Pandey in the lead role. The channel in a recent release confirmed that this new show will replace Sandip Sikand's ‘Kahaan Hum Kahaan Tum’ and will be on-air from March 16, 2020.

As per reports, Anupamaa is a Hindi remake of Magic Moments' popular Bengali show 'Sreemoyee' which was aired on Star Jalsha. The show was a story by Leena Gangopadhyay and is being remade by Rajan Shahi, who is known for TV soaps like 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hain' and 'Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke' on Star Plus.

Anupamaa revolves around a homemaker who, on an everyday basis, wears multiple hats for all the duties she performs throughout the day, thereby catering to an endless list of demands by her family. The show features Anupamaa who takes care of all the needs thrown at her, thereby ensuring her family stays happy and expresses love.

Talking about her role as Anupamaa, Rupali said, "Every woman across the globe is my inspiration. According to me every woman who maintains a balance between her professional and personal life or chooses to be a home-maker in order to take care of her family are all my inspiration. We will all agree that the role of a home-maker is not an easy one, and seeing all these ladies do it with such finesse is really inspirational! All of these strong women have inspired me a lot to get into the character as Anupamaa truly resonates with their lives”.

Sharing his thought, Sudhanshu shared, “I have essayed different roles on television and I have to say that the role of Vanraj stands out from the rest. When I got to know about the show and its engaging narrative, the first thought that struck me was that I simply HAVE to do this! It’s a tribute to my wife who selflessly looks after me and our kids, always putting us first for everything. I would say that I dedicate it to all the homemakers who constantly strive for helping us achieve our goals in life. They are the real multi-taskers and I can’t imagine how we will ever be able to do anything in life without them!”

‘Kahaan Hum Kahaan Tum’, entertained the audience and did make its way to the TRP charts, but the show be going off-air on March 14, 2020.
