Mumbai- Senior artist Jayant Sawarkar has been appointed as president for the 97th Akhil Bhartiya Marathi Natya Sammelan. This decision was taken by the Akhil Bhartiya Marathi Natya Parishad’s Mandal. Sawarkar has been associated with Marathi theatre for the last six decades and said he was elated that he was chosen as the president and has assured theatre lovers that he is committed to opening more theatres in the state.
