The Yashwant theatre in Matunga, which has been opened for the service of the fans after the completion of the renovation by the efforts of the newly elected executive of the Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Theater Council, will once again start theatrical performances. Natya Parishad has informed that the two plays 'Vacuum Cleaner' and 'Eka Lagnachi Gosht’ will be performed in this theatre. The repair and renovation work was taken up rapidly from May to re-operate the Yashwant Theater which was closed during the Corona period.

On June 14, a theatre conference program was also held in this theatre. Prashant Damle, president of Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Natya Parishad, had announced that the renovated theatre will be open for the audience from August 1. He also appealed to register for the plays. Now on Saturday, August 5, the play 'Vacuum Cleaner', starring famous actor Ashok Saraf and actress Nirvana Sawant, will be staged at Yashwant Theatre. On Sunday, August 6, actor Prashant Damle and actress Kavita Lad-Medhekar's play 'Eka Lagnachi Pudchi Goshta' will be staged at Yashwant Theater. 

Theatre lovers are happy that this theatre is opening after almost four years. The producers have also decided to donate a large portion of the income from the rehearsals of these two plays on August 5 and 6 to the Irshalwadi disaster victims.
