Even as the local train services resume for the general public, AC local trains on the Western Railways, witnesses a little response from the passengers.

The passenger capacity of AC locals is about 6,000 passengers daily. However, it has come across that only 7,000 tickets have been sold in the last five months.

According to the latest records given by the Western Railway, on March 1, 264 tickets and 262 passes were sold.

The WR has received a total revenue of INR 91,18,000 since October. As a result, efforts are being made to increase the daily footfall in the AC locomotive.

The AC locomotive is currently running on the slow line on the Central Railway. The proposal to run AC locomotives on fast lanes was presented about a month ago. But the proposal seems to have fallen behind.

According to figures, on February 1, the WR sold 233 season tickets and 93 journey tickets. Likewise, on the Central Railway, has sold 46 season passes and 27 daily journey tickets. A total of 6,861 tickets and 10,780 monthly passes have been sold till February.

In the first 30 days after the resumption of AC locomotives, only 341 tickets and 315 seasonal passes were sold.
