To beat the Mumbai heat, the AC local is coming for the commuter’s rescue. The train is expected to run from September or October. This train will run from Churchgate to Virar on the fast track.
A sum of INR 54 Cr has been spent to build this AC train. It has been a year since it was introduced in the Kurla car shed. Many tests are being run there and once the tests are complete, the train is expected to be available to the people. The ticket fare hasn’t been decided yet.
Because of the increasing population on the Western Railway, the frequency of trains is going to take a hike.
The trains will be more active between Andheri and Virar.
