On the occasion of Ashadhi Ekadashi, the ST Corporation is once again ready for the pilgrims who leave towards Pandharpur chanting the name of Vithal. After two years of Corona crisis, Ashadhi Ekadashi started regularly in Pandharpur from last year. This year around 5000 special buses are being operated by ST Corporation for this yatra.


These special trains will run between June 25 and July 05 and 200 additional buses have been made available on Tuesday for Mauli's ring ceremony at Wakhri. For the Yatra, buses have been planned from six regions namely Pune, Nashik, Aurangabad, Nagpur, Amravati along with Mumbai. The ST Corporation has requested that pilgrims and devotees going to Pandharpur from the state should take advantage of this bus service. 1,200 from Aurangabad region, 500 from Mumbai, 100 from Nagpur, 1,200 from Pune, 1,000 from Nashik and 700 from Amravati special buses have been planned.

Four temporary bus depots

Trains will be released from various sections for lakhs of devotees across the state for the Pandharpur Yatra. In view of the rush of pilgrims, devotees and tourists, four temporary bus depots namely Chandrabhaga, Bhima, Pandurang (ITI College) and Vitthal Karkhana Yatra station will be set up in Pandharpur during the yatra period to avoid crowding at one station. Meanwhile, ST Corporation has requested that as many passengers as possible should take advantage of ST's safe passenger service, drinking water, accessible toilet, computerised reservation centre, inquiry room, guidance board will be provided at the bus station during the journey.
