Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the much awaited Mumbai-Goa Vande Bharat Express train virtually on Tuesday, June 27. The train will commence regularly from June 28. This will be the first Vande Bharat Express train on this route. It will run between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) in Mumbai to Madgaon in Goa.

The CSMT-Madgaon Vande Bharat Express will currently run only three days a week. However, it will be transitioned to six days a week, excluding Fridays, from November 1.

Equipped with world class facilities, Vande Bharat train will be faster and save time compared to Tejas Express.

This 8-coach train will have 11 stops and take 7 hours 15 minutes to cover the Mumbai-Goa distance (586 km) during non-monsoon period.

A speed limit has been imposed on the Konkan railway line during monsoons, therefore, it will take nearly 10 hours.

Timings:

Vande Bharat train connecting Mumbai and Goa will depart from Mumbai on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays during monsoon. This train will leave CSMT at 5.23 am and reach Madgaon after 10 hours at 3.30 pm.

Whereas, for the return journey Vande Bharat train will depart from Madgaon at 12.20 am (noon) and reach CSMT at 10.25 pm. It will run from Madgaon on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

Halts:

The train will have halts at Dadar, Thane, Panvel, Khed, Ratnagiri, Kankavali and Thivim. However, the travel time is expected to be approximately ten hours during monsoons.

AC Chair Car - INR 1815

Executive Chair Car - 3360

(Food Choice is Optional in this train if You Opt for No Food Option then catering charge will not be added in Fare.)

The ticket booking has started today, June 26 and reservations can be made through the official website of IRCTC - www.irctc.co.in and the ticket booking center at the station.
