Bandra - Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) spent Rs 1 crore on construction of dedicated BEST bus corridors in BKC. A week passed, but that route was not used to the fullest by BEST for commuting. Meanwhile autorickshaws, cab drivers were making the most of the route. All the barricades and ropes which were set up to dedicate the route were rooted out from the place. Months passed and the condition remained same, Mumbai Live investigated the current status and what they found was surprising. MMRDA will reconstruct the route and it seems it will rain money for the contractors again. RTI activist Anil Galgali has alleged MMRDA of looting people's money to fill in the pockets of contractors.
