Many incidents of fire in BEST buses have come to light. So far three BEST buses have caught fire. Recently, a BEST bus caught fire outside the Andheri station.
400 CNG buses will not ply on Mumbai roads
In view of the increasing incidents of fire in buses, the BEST has taken an important decision. 400 CNG buses will be removed from the roads of Mumbai. In this regard, information has been given by BEST Bus Transport on Twitter.
In view of recent incidents of fire in TATA CNG buses operated by M/S Mateshwari Urban Transport Ltd BEST has decided to take all these 400 buses off road till the OEM & operator take necessary corrective measures to ensure that such incidents will not happen in future. (1/2)

The schedule of BEST bus services might change
“There may be some changes in the schedules due to this.Commuters may keep this in mind while planning the journey for next few days”, it tweeted. Travellers should keep this in mind while planning their travel for the next few days.
Though the BEST mentioned in their tweet that there will be a change in the schedule, however, no schedule has been published yet.
