Mumbai - WT (Without Ticket) travellers are everywhere - not only in the local trains but in BEST buses too.
BEST has kept a track on these WT travellers and in a span of 4 months, the public transport undertaking has collected Rs 23,71,981, it says. 27,022 passengers travelling without ticket were caught in the months of June, July, August, and September.
Passengers caught travelling without tickets will have to pay a fine of Rs 200 or face a month long stint in jail. BEST is vigilant and if you think you will get away without purchasing a ticket, fancy your chances at your own risk.
