Central Railway and Western Railway will be carrying out a mega block on 21 May, Sunday for the maintenance works of rail racks and other related works.
The down fast and semi-fast services leaving CST from 9.38 am to 2.54 pm will halt at Ghatkopar, Vikhroli, Bhandup and Mulund stations. Down fast trains beyond Thane will be diverted on down slow line between Thane and Kalyan halting at all stations. Likewise, the up fast and semi-fast line services leaving Thane station from 10.46 am to 3.18 pm will halt at Mulund, Bhandup, Vikhroli, Ghatkopar and Kurla stations. All down and up slow locals leaving or arriving CST from 11.00 am to 5.00 pm will run late.
There will be no locals in between 10.35 am to 3.48 from CST to Panvel, Belapur or Vashi. However special local trains will run on CST - Kurla and Vashi – Panvel sections during the block period. Harbour Line passengers are also permitted to travel via Trans-Harbour/Main Line from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm.
Western Railway to carry out a jumbo block from Borivali to Naigaon on both up and down lines from 11 am to 3 pm. During this period, up Vasai- Virar bound locals will run on fast lines and down locals will be diverted on fast lines. There will be no locals for Bhayander.
