Ganesh Festival: CR to run special mid-night local trains on Harbour line

In Mumbai, people stay out till late to catch a glimpse of their beloved deity Lord Ganesha. Mumbaikars usually travel by local trains to reach Girgaon Chowpatty or Dadar beach to witness the visarjan (immersion) process. 

In order to ease the commute, Central Railway (CR) has decided to run eight special mid-night local trains.

CR will run a Panvel-bound local train that will leave Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSTM) around 1:30 am and will reach Panvel around 2:04 am and will stop at all stations.

• 1:30 am- CSTM

• 1:40 am- Panvel 
  3:05 am- CSTM

Meanwhile, there will be no mega block carried out on the Central line.
