Central Railway (CR) has announced to run special trains ahead of Ganeshotsav as large number of citizens go to their villages to celebrate the festival.
These trains will run on various routes and provide convenient travel options to the passengers. Booking of all Ganapati Specials will commence from September 27 at all computerised Reservation Centers and at www.irctc.co.in at special charges.
Here are the details of the special trains:
Mumbai-Sawantwadi Special (40 services)
Train No. 01171 will depart Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai from 13 September 2023 to 2 October 2023 (20 trips) daily at 00:20 AM and reach Sawantwadi Road at 2:20 PM on the same day.
Train No. 01172 will depart Sawantwadi Road from 13 September 2023 to 02 October 2023 (20 trips) at 3:10 AM daily and reach Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai at 04:35 AM the next day.
Halt: Dadar, Thane, Panvel, Mangaon, Veer, Khed, Chiplun, Sawarda, Aravali Road, Sangameshwar Road, Ratnagiri, Advali, Vilavede, Rajapur Road, Vaibhavwadi Road, Nandgaon Road, Kankavali, Sindhudurg and Kudal.
Composition: The train consists of 18 sleeper class coaches, one guard brake van and one generator car.
LTT- Kudal Special (24 services)
Train No. 01167 will leave LTT on 13th, 14th, 19th, 20th, 21st, 24th, 25th, 26th, 27th, 28th September and October 2nd and 3rd (12 trips) 2023 at 10:15 PM and will reach Kudal at 9:30 AM next day.
Train No. 01168 will leave Kudal on 14th, 15th, 20th, 21st, 22nd, 25th, 26th, 27th, 28th, 29th September at 10:30 AM and will reach LTT at 9:00 AM on October 2nd & 3rd (12 Rounds).
Halt: Thane, Panvel, Roha, Mangaon, Khed, Chiplun, Sawarda, Sangameshwar Road, Ratnagiri, Advali, Rajapur Road, Vaibhavwadi Road, Kankavali and Sindhudurg.
Composition: The train consists of seven general second class coaches with one AC-2 tier, two AC-3 tiers, 10 sleeper class coaches and two guards brake vans.
Pune-Karmali/Kudal-Pune Special (6 services)
Train No. 01169 will depart from Pune on 15th, 22nd and 29th September at 6:45 PM and reach Kudal at 10:00 AM on the next day.
Train No. 01170 will depart from Kudal on 17th, 24th September and 01st October at 4:05 PM and reach Pune at 05:50 AM on the next day.
Halt: Lonavla, Panvel, Mangaon, Khed, Chiplun, Sawarda, Sangameshwar Road, Ratnagiri, Aadvali, Vilavde, Rajapur Road, Vaibhavwadi Road, Nandgaon Road, Kankavali and Sindhudurg.
Composition: The design of the train includes one AC 2 tyre, 2 Guards Brake Vans with 4 AC 3 Tier, 11 Sleeper Class, 6 General Second Class.
Karmali-Panvel-Kudal Special (Weekly) - 6 services
Train No. 01187 Special will leave Karmali at 2.50 pm on 16th and 30th September (3 trips) and reach Panvel at 02.45 pm the next day.
01188 Special train will leave Panvel at 05.00 am on 17th, 24th September and 1st October (3 trips). ) and will reach Kudal at 2 PM on the same day.
Halt: Thivim, Sawantwadi Road, Kudal, Sindhudurg, Kakavali, Nandgaon Road, Vaibhavwadi Road, Rajapur Road, Vilavede, Aadvali, Ratnagiri, Sangameshwar Road, Sawarda, Chiplun, Khed, Roha and Mangaon.
Composition: One AC-2 tier, 4 AC-3 tiers, 11 sleeper class, 6 general second class with 2 guard brake vans.
Diva-Ratnagiri Memu Special (40 services)
Train No. 01153 Special (12 coach train) will leave Diva from 13 September to 02 October (20 trips) at 07.10 AM and reach Ratnagiri at 2.55 PM on the same day.
In return, Train No. 01154 Special from 13 September to 02 October (20 Rounds) will leave Ratnagiri at 3.40 PM and reach Diva at 20.40 PM on the same day.
Halt: The train will stop at Roha, Mangaon, Veer, Khed, Chiplun, Sawarda, Aravali Road and Sangameshwar Road.
Mumbai- Madgaon Special (Daily) 40 services
Train No. 01151 Special will depart Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai from 13 September 2023 to 02 October 2023 (20 trips) daily at 11.50 am and reach Margaon at 02.10 am the next day.
In the return, Train No. 01152 Special will leave Madgaon from 13 September to 02 October (20 trips) daily at 3.15 AM and reach Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai at 5.05 PM on the same day.
Halt: Dadar, Thane, Panvel, Roha, Mangaon, Veer, Khed, Chiplun, Sawarda, Aravali Road, Sangameshwar Road, Ratnagiri, Aadvali, Vilavede, Rajapur Road, Vaibhavwadi Road, Nandgaon Road, Kankavali, Sindhudurg, Kudal, Sawantwadi. Road, Thivim and Karmali.
