Working class opting 'Vande Bharat' in large numbers: Central Railway

Vande Bharat Express on Central Railway is getting good response from the passengers,mainly the number of working class people.The Central Railway informed that the working class is seen planning a trip with their families on holidays, and most of the passengers that are opting Vande Bharat fall in the age group of 15 to 30 years and 31 to 45 years.


Vande Bharat runs on Central Railway from CSMT to Sainagar Shirdi, CSMT to Solapur, CSMT to Madgaon and Nagpur-Bilaspur. A total of 55,905 passengers traveled from CSMT to Solapur Vande Bharat between September 15 and October 13, of which 34016 passengers were male and 21,881 were female passengers. It also included 2,438 passengers aged between 1 and 14 years, 18,764 passengers in the age group of 15 to 30 years, 18,042 passengers in the age group of 31 to 45 years, 11,528 passengers in the age group of 46 to 60 years and 5,133 passengers in the age group of more than 60 years. Hence, the Central Railway report revealed that the working classes are using Vande Bharat in more numbers to travel with their children.

Transgender passengers have also travelled through Vande Bharat and 4.5 percent of the total passengers belonged to this category. Along with this, there has been a decline of 10 to 20 percent in air travel since the launch of Vande Bharat. Due to which the air fare has reduced by 20 to 30 percent.
