The BEST bus accident that transpired at Dadar TT, two days ago, seriously injured a significant number of travellers.

On Friday morning, it was brought to light by reports that the driver, Rajendra Kale who was grievously hurt in the mishap was declared dead at Sion Hospital. The conductor, on the other hand, is in critical condition, highlighted accounts.

The accident occurred when the BEST bus was speeding, rammed into a dumper. Two teenagers as well were hurt in the accident. It is believed by many that the driver lost control or was speeding. When the accident occurred on Wednesday morning, many videos of the occurrence were doing rounds on social media.

The Tejaswani BEST bus came from behind when the dumper had stopped at the signal near Khodadad Circle. According to reports, the bus was operating on route number 22 from Marol to Pydhonie. The accident, however, occurred at Dadar.

Based on accounts, the front part of the bus was hit and thus, has been taken to the repair workshop for works. Additionally, it is also stated that the majority of the injuries were sustained on the chest and head of the people.

BEST Committee members highlighted how this accident elucidates the need for drivers to be provided with instructions to drive safely.
