Dombivli: Attention! Changes in road traffic at  Baji Prabhu Chowk on September 6 and 7

Owing to Dahi Handi programs of Shiv Sena, BJP in Dombivli East and West areas, the traffic on  Baji Prabhu Chowk in Dombivli East and Pandit Dindayal Road in West has been changed from 12:00 pm on September 6 to 12:00 pm on September 7. Dombivli Transport Department announced this road change notification on Monday.


In Dombivli East, BJP is celebrating Dahi Handi festival at Baji Prabhu Chowk. For this event, the traffic coming from Phadke Road to Baji Prabhu Chowk will be stopped from 12:00 pm on September 6 to 12:00 pm on September 7. This traffic has been diverted from Phadke Road to Fatteh Ali Road from Palika Dombivli Divisional Office.

Dahi Handi festival will be celebrated by former chairman Dipesh Mhatre Foundation at Samrat Chowk on Pandit Dindayal Street in Dombivli West. For this festival, the traffic going from Dombivli Western Railway Station area to Mogagaon, Juni Dombivli, Retibandar, Devichapada areas will take a left turn in front of Ganapati Temple on Dindayal Road. N. Garage, via Ellora Society to the back side of Samrat Chowk to the desired destination. The road will be closed at Hotel Samrat Chowk for vehicles coming from Thakurwadi, Retibandar, Devichapada, Umeshnagar, Anand Nagar areas to go through Dindayal road. These vehicles will take a left turn at Samrat Chowk and proceed to the desired destination via Nana Shankar Sheth and Ghanshyam Gupte Road, said Umesh Gitte, Police Inspector, Traffic Department.
