On the auspicious occasion of Gudi Padwa which was celebrated on Saturday, April 2, the number of new vehicles registrations at four Mumbai RTOs rose by 39 per cent in contrast to last year, stated reports. According to an account by the Times of India, registrations of cars and SUVs rose by 27 per cent while that of two-wheelers rose by 46 per cent, highlighted RTO data. 

The report elucidates that last week, 2,230 cars and SUVs, as well as 4,292 two-wheelers, an aggregate of 6,522 vehicles were registered at the RTOs before Gudi Padwa, with bookings made in advance.

Based on the narrative, the Tardeo RTO witnessed the maximum registrations of cars and SUVs at 655 and scooters and motorcycles at 1,390. In contrast, 1,759 cars and 2,944 two-wheelers which come to an aggregate of 4,703 vehicles were recorded for delivery during the week leading to Gudi Padwa 2021.

It has been reported that on average, 125 four-wheelers and 400 two-wheelers are registered in Mumbai daily. The four RTOs under consideration include Tardeo, WadalaAndheri and Borivali

Earlier it was mentioned that Mumbai RTOs now have a total of seven car driving simulators to assist driving license candidates to practice on the machine to enhance their skills before appearing for the ground test. These simulators are slated to be given for free to those appearing for the final driving tests.
