As the terminus is next to the Ram temple, it has become more convenient for suburban commuters. The distance between Ram Mandir Railway Station and Jogeshwari Terminus on Western Railway is about 500 metres. Ram Mandir Virar direction pedestrian bridge landing steps will be connected to Jogeshwari Terminus. This will make it possible for local passengers to reach the terminus without taking a rickshaw-taxi.

Platforms capable of running 24-coach trains will be constructed at the new terminus. One track will be for parking of trains and two tracks will be for train traffic. The ground floor plus two buildings will be for the offices of railway employees. The station building will be on the home platform.

There is a special arrangement for vehicles in the terminus area to facilitate public transport. There is a reserved area for pedestrian passengers. There will also be a separate parking lot for private vehicles.
