Kalyan station has been declared as the cleanest station on the Mumbai section of Central Railway (CR).
The station has bagged the prestigious title of Best Sanitation Station in A-1 category.
The awards were announced and distributed during the 68th Rail Seva Puraskar 2023 held on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) Auditorium, Mumbai Division of Central Railway.
Moreover, Panvel station also achieved recognition in A category. Similarly, Bhandup, Ray Road, Matunga, Badlapur and Chinchpokli stations have been ranked in the C category for their exemplary cleanliness standards.
Besides, CSMT's Platform No. 18 bagged the prestigious title of Best Garden. It has also been rated for enhancing the beauty of the station.
Thane station was recognised as the second best station garden. Igatpuri Station Garden was awarded the Best Station Garden in Medium Category. Roha Station Garden ranked the second best station garden in medium category.
Bhiwandi Station Garden was recognised as the best station garden. Vasind Station Garden was recognized as the second best station garden in this category.
