Parel Terminus is all set to reduce over-crowding at Dadar and Kurla

With the onset of construction of Parel Terminus, the crowd at Dadar and Kurla terminus will be divided.


The horrors of Elphinstone Road (Prabhadevi) stampede has had a far fetched impact on the authorities and they're leaving no stone unturned to ensure that no railway station should experience over-crowding. Dadar and Kurla station experiences a lot of crowd especially during peak hours as it connects the central and harbour line respectively.

In order to divert the crowd at Dadar and Kurla Terminus, the construction of Parel Terminus will start soon. It will include local as well as express trains. The construction has been started in the 14 hectares Parel Loco workshop. 

The project will prove to be a boon to commuters during peak hours as Parel is a commercial hub of Mumbai. The project will cost ₹190 crores.
