CSMT Station Conferred Upon As 'Best Swacch Bharat Iconic Place' By The Ministry Of Jal Shakti

The Ministry of Jal Shakti and Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation recently announced that Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) station has been conferred upon as 'Best Swacch Bharat Iconic Place'. It has been awarded to CSMT due to its contribution in the Swacch Bharat Campaign that was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. 

The award will be presented to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) and its CSR partner on Friday, September 6 in Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi.

Notably, CSTM Station has also been ranked second on Wonderslist's 'World’s 10 Most Amazing Railway Stations'. It is the only railway stations that have been included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
