There will be a reduction of INR 25 from Friday, September 1, in the waterway ticket price between Mora and Mumbai. Therefore, thousands of passengers on this route will benefit from this. However, the transporters have demanded to increase the rates of water travel between Karanja in Uran and Revas in Alibaug. So the journey on this route is likely to be expensive.

For the monsoon season from June 1 to August 31, the fares of Mora to Mumbai water travel were increased by INR 25, hence the rates of one round ferry went from INR 80 to INR 105. Passengers traveling by boat from Uran to Mumbai were affected by this. Meanwhile, the Revas-Bhaucha Dhakka sea route, which has been closed during the rainy season for three months, will also be thrown open for the service from September 1.

As a precautionary measure due to storms and heavy rains, changing weather conditions and high waves in the sea, passenger traffic on the Revas-Bhaucha Dhakka marine waterway is closed every year for the rainy season. The ticket price on this sea route is INR 100. Revas-Bhaucha Dhakka sea route is more affordable for the general public than the ticket prices of speedboats and ro-ro boat services on the Gateway-Mandwa route. Therefore, thousands of common passengers travel through this route.

Sharafat Mukadam, secretary of the Mumbai Water Transport Organisation informed that the passenger boat service which has been closed for three months on this sea route will be started from September 1 and the fare on the Mora-Mumbai route will also be reduced by INR 25 rupees.
