Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) has decided to run additional buses during the festival of Diwali between November 1 to November 20, 2018. A total of 9320 additional buses will be run for Diwali, announced Transport Minister Diwakar Raote.

Every year, in order to accommodate more passengers, who usually travel to their native place to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi or who go for the Pandharpur Wari, MSRTC runs additional buses. Likewise, this year, 9320 additional buses will be run for Diwali.
Every day, 114 additional buses will be operated from Mumbai bus depot from November 1 and will continue until November 20. According to MSRTC officials, in 20 days, 2280 additional buses will be run from Mumbai.
