A new cab company ‘S3’ is all set to hit the roads of Mumbai

After Ola and Uber, a new company named ‘S-3’ which stands for, ‘Sahyadri Smart Safe’ Pvt. Limited, is now all set to enter the competition. This service was inaugurated by BJP MLA, Sudhakar Deshmukh.

S-3 is being promoted by the logistic company, Bharat Freight Group. The idea to begin the service was put up by a group of three people, Praful Shinde, Rajesh Kaldate, and Sohail Kajani. Amongst which, Sohail is the Director of Sahyadri Smart Safe Pvt. Limited.

Praful Shinde, the co-founder of S-3 said, “The service currently has just started in Mumbai but if we get a good response then it will also be initiated in other cities. Currently, 800 drivers have been appointed for this service, of which 350 are female drivers. We are also assisted by 10 taxi unions.”

Based on the data provided, passengers will be charged ₹16 for mini, 18 for Sedan and 20 for SUV per km, wherein the drivers would get 10 for mini, 12 for Sedan and 14 for SUV per km, respectively. Along with this, night charges will also not be levied on passengers.

Apart from booking, there is also a calling facility to avail the service. This way, those who do not have a smartphone can also take use the service by calling, which other market competitors do not offer currently. Also, female passengers can demand female drivers according to their convenience.

To ensure the safety of passengers, cameras have placed inside and outside the cab. In case, if the passenger feels unsafe, then they can click on the SOS button in the S-3 mobile application, and the cameras will be activated which will record everything happening in the cab. Also, a team will be dispatched immediately to deal with the situation.

Initially, Praful too was a cab driver with Uber. At first, he was ensured a lot of money but later he faced a lot of financial problems in order to remain in the business which inspired him to open his own cab company.
