Aaditya Thackeray, the Maharashtra tourism and environment minister is said to launch Mumbai’s Hop on Hop off (HoHo) bus service on Tuesday, November 30, at 11 am, reported the Times of India.

Acclaimed across cities internationally, the HoHo buses offer tourists the chance to take an unlimited number of rides on the bus. Not just this, they can get in and off the bus at any tourist spot on the route.

The HoHo buses in Mumbai will operate from the Gateway of India to Juhu Chowpatty. Between these destinations, there will be many tourist spots. These buses will ply with a frequency of 30 mins.

Additionally, the Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) will operate the electric AC buses between 9 am and 8 pm. This will be accompanied by a daily bus pass of INR 250 per passenger.

According to reports, presently, the halt points include CSMT, Byculla zoo, Siddhivinayak Temple, Bandstand Bandra, Juhu Garden, Juhu Chowpatty, Nehru Planetarium, Mani Bhavan, Aquarium, Hanging Garden, Museum and Gateway of India.

Earlier last week, the BEST asked citizens to participate in designing the exterior of the buses through the “Design Mumbai Ho Ho Bus Campaign”. Those interested have been asked to send in their artwork before Tuesday, November 30.
