Mumbai Metro introduces e-ticket booking via WhatsApp, simplifies travel for commuters

WhatsApp is no longer an instant messaging app. It has many features which are very useful. Now, WhatsApp has added another feature which is going to make booking tickets easier. With the help of WhatsApp Metro users will be able to buy tickets with one click.

The Mumbai Metro took to Twitter and announced the new way of buying tickets. ‘The city that is always on the move now doesn't need to stop for anything. Not even tickets. Say "Hi" for convenience’, it said.

How to book a metro ticket via WhatsApp?

• You can use this service like any other WhatsApp chatbot service
• Send Hi on WhatsApp number 967000-8889
• Click on the link sent by Mumbai Metro e-ticketing
• From the drop-down menu, select your source and destination location
• Select the number of tickets you want and whether they are single or return
• Pay online with your preferred payment method like credit card or UPI.

On January 20, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Mumbai Metro Lines 2A and 7. Line 2A runs from Andheri West to Dahisar East to DN Nagar, while Line 7 connects Andheri East to Dahisar East.
